An Important Meeting between Essex Jamme Masjid, Faizan-e-Madina Masjid Southend and Southend Mosque take place 16/04/2020 ONLINE hosted by honorable Imam Iftikhar Ul Haq regarding Muslim funeral services in Southend area. All Masjid committee are agreed as below-
- Due to the limited facilities all Masjid agreed that any death during the Pandemic, washing will take place in the stibbards funeral services wash room.
- The deceased with Covid-19 will take to cemetery for Janaza Prayer without washing. If the relative of the deceased person want to wash themselves we can make arrangements.
- Our volunteer will take responsibilities for washing confirmed non Covid-19 deceased only (cause of death certificate has to submit by the deceased family).
- During washing all volunteer need to wear safety clothing PPE, MASK, GLOVES, VISOR, family of the deceased person have to bear the cost for safety gears. If any families unable to bear the cost, all 3 Masjid will contribute towards the cost.
- Maximum person allowed during Janaza as per local government rules
