Religious Advice
Muslims turn to the mosque for help and advice in all matters of their day-to-day life. Essex Jamme Masjid has experienced Imams to advice on many concerns of the community such as bereavement, cultural challenges, generational issues and matrimonial problems.
Counselling
Recognising the importance of integrating an Islamic perspective into counselling for Muslims, we offer a comprehensive approach to well-being, considering aspects of faith, culture, and family dynamics. While various counselling models exist, our approach to Islamic counselling is centered on the belief that humans possess inherent spirituality, known as the fitra, from birth. Our counselling supports individuals’ connection with their fitra, aligning them with Islamic teachings. Providing a professional, safe, non-judgemental counselling service for people to talk about any difficulties they may encounter and discuss possible solutions.
In the Muslim community, access to culturally sensitive counselling services is often limited. Our service aims to address this gap by providing accessible and Islamically based support.
Counselling appointments are online and telephone only.
Our counselling service is a paid service with a fee of £20.
Payment is required via our local giving page at the time of booking. These fees help us continue providing high quality support and ensure the service remains accessible to everyone. The Mosque relies on these contributions to cover operating costs and to offer advice and spiritual guidance to those in need.
